Negin Imani connects architecture, biology and building science to develop adaptive, energy-efficient buildings. Her PhD at Victoria University of Wellington produced the ThBA framework, translating biological thermal strategies into building design.
She founded Biomimicry New Zealand in 2017 and, as principal investigator at Bodeker Scientific, leads the 2025 MBIE Smart Ideas project on AI and additive manufacturing for adaptive façades.
