FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
“An extraordinarily talented, capable, and motivated group of 46 Wellingtonians have been announced as the Finalists across 9 Categories of The 2022 DOMINION POST WELLINGTONIAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS, which are now in their 34th Year of celebration,” said Director John Dow.
“Noticeable amongst this year’s Finalists were the many young people achieving international recognition and success in the Arts, Sport, and Business, alongside Wellingtonians who have contributed decades of hard work and commitment to important Health, Social, Environmental, Cultural, and important Fundraising initiatives and issues,” said John.
“All the Finalists have excelled in their respective fields of interest and endeavour, often in very challenging circumstances, and as a group represents much of what makes the Wellington region a very special place to live.”
The 2022 DOMINION POST WELLINGTONIAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS night will be held at the iconic EMBASSY Theatre, with approx. 500 people are expected to attend, on Wednesday 29th March 2023.
All 46 Finalists will be profiled and acknowledged at the Awards night, 9 Category Winners announced as well as the overall 2022 WELLINGTONIAN OF THE YEAR.
Also presented will be the “WORLD CLASS WELLY AWARD” and the “JEMIMA GAZLEY SPIRIT OF WELLINGTON AWARD”.
